Match 1: Deonna Purazzo vs. Mercedes Martinez
*Purazzo has a pretty funky theme song.
*Really curious to see how Purazzo will actually last in this match-up. I'd say that Purazzo seems like a complete underdog, so this should be interesting in seeing how it shakes out.
*Pretty good back and forth through the initial moments of the match. Crowd right now seems real real low energy. Though from the photos that I've seen of the crowd, it looks like attendance is a bit low.
*"Looks like a game of AtlasSphere" - I'm a fan of American Gladiator references for sure. I'd give the commentator who did that credit, but I don't know who actually is on commentary right now.
*I like the fact that Deonna isn't afraid of Martinez and is tryign to step up to plate and go toe to toe (or fist for fist) to her.
*Mercedes Martinez wins a quick match up with a submission maneuveur.
Match 2: The Sinister Sweethearts (Brittany Blake & Samantha Heights) (with Chrissy Rivera) vs. Priscilla Kelly & Nevaeh
*Kayla Lynn apparently not showing up in this match, well that's interesting.
*Apparently a night of returns, glad to see that Nevaeh is also back.
*So when did Chrissy Rivera become such an awesome manager? Probably awhile back.. I just haven't been aware about that.
*The Sinister Sweethearts doing a great job of keeping Nevaeh out of the match. She finally gets into the action though and quickly takes out both of the members of the Sinister Sweethearts.
*Nevaeh hits a sweet tombstone on Brittany Blake. It's been awhile since I've seen a tombstone, especially so casually in a match like this. That's a move that I will always always love.
*The Sinister Sweethearts win. Chrissy Rivera looking to have a nice night.
*The more that i see from Priscilla Kelly, the more I really really like her.
Match 3: Jordynne Grace vs. Annie Social
*Apparently the special referee in this match is Trooper Audobon, interesting.
*Jordynne Grace entering to Offspring, I'll never not mark out for that.
*Feed is trying really really hard to die on me.... dang it.
*If I have to choose a favorite in this match, then I guess I'm going for Jordynne Grace. She's younger and I'll about that.
*Big fan of the story that they are trying to tell with this match and the fact that both women are growing increasingly frustrated with each other.
*I'll fully admit that I've never gotten the appeal of Annie Social - I know that she has been doing this forever and she seems decent, but anything special? I don't think so.
*Grace gets the victory after a sitout Liger Bomb. Matches really end in a hurry in this promotion.
Match 4: Bale Spin (KC Spinelli & Xandra Bale) vs. The Fella Twins (Rick Cataldo & Eddie McQueen) for the WSU Tag Team Championship
*This theme rules. SPIN IT. Bale Spin probably has the greatest theme song in this promotion. But it's hard to beat Ducktales.
*THe Fella Twins are such a good gimmick and I'm glad that they now apparently have Pledges/recruits which include Penelope Ford.
*Early on in the match, Bale Spin is super in control of it and taking it to McQueen.
*I thought Trooper Audobon was suppose to be some kind of special referee. But nope, apparently he is just the regular dude who refs.
*I love the fact that Xandra Bale is kicking out of everything left and right and that she is really frustrating the shit out of Eddie McQueen.
*Rick Cataldo just controlling the match and ordering everybody throughout this match. It feels like he fears BALE SPIN.
*Cataldo hits one of the members of Bale Spin with the belt to retain the championship. Cataldo continues to rule as a great heel. Gonna be interesting to see Cataldo get his come uppancee at some point.
Match 5: Kiera Hogan vs. Taeler Hendrix
*The "Girl on Fire" - Come on the Hunger Games wasn't that great was it?
*it's easy to denigrate Taeler Hendrix, but she deserves a lot of credit for inhabiting the role of her character. Even if that character is mostly kidn of slutty wrestler.
*I like how aggressive Hendrix is of late. I haven't seen her fight in a logn long while, but she is really embracing being EVIL.
*This stream has never really gotten to great quality for me, but eh (I'm not somebody who is overally picky about streams) It's still beyond watchable. Just more so on the good level versus the great level.
*Taeler Hendrix so so vicious and that's awesome. I do like that Hogan is trying to fight here way through this.
*So Taelder Hendrix takes the cheap victory and the fight continues after the match. Hendrix is a bad sport, but you know (that's her character)
Match 6: Su Yung (w/ Chrissy Rivera) vs. Leva Bates for the WSU Spirit Championship
*Has Yung's pre-match wig gotten more elaborate? I hope so.
*One of the cooler Leva Bates cosplays/entrances that I've seen in awhile.
*Always amzes me that Leva has really never seen to grow much as a wrestler in terms of actually match skills. I mean, that sounds harsher than I generally like to be, but it's so true.
*Su Yung really likes doing that dive outside spot in her matches. It's a good spot though and always looks pretty badass.
*I wonder what will happen when they try to switch Su Yung (or if they ever try to do it) back to 'normal'. I don't think it'll work, but I don't know how long she can do this crazy gimmick either.
*I do like how they try to present Su Yung as both a technical/skilled wrestler but also a ferocious/crazy wrestler.
*Good thing about Su Yung being 'crazy' - she really tries to incorporate that into her move set too.
*Well the Sinister Sweethearts have crept to the ring, so this is probably gonna be a real weird ending.
*They try to interefere, Leva punches Blake & Heights) to get the easy victory over Su Yung.
*Gets a post match beatdown though for her good work.
*So is this a faction called The Reckoning? But that consists of this tag team & more. (Apparently so)
Match 7: Allie vs. Jade for the WSU Championship
*I like this version of Straight Outta Compoton that Jade is coming out too.
*I'm rooting for Cherry Bomb/Alllie. I am not ready to see her lose all of her titles already. She is too good of a character for that.
*Don't like this commenator who is actively rooting against Allie and wants the Shrieker to shut up. The Shrieker should be loud forever.
*"Cherry Bomb/Allie is the greatest superstar to come into WSU" - I mean, I can't argue with that.
*I love how great of a character that Allie is and how Jade also just wants to beat the everlasting shit of her. Both are excelling in character work.
*Dude on commentary - "I'm going to screw up their names all match, this is a new rule" - Is that really a thing being put onto them by TNA? That seems peculiar/odd.
*"That is her primary kicking leg" - An interesting point that I've never thought of is the fact that people have primary kicking legs.
*Big fan of Allie's intensity in this match
*I missed the finish of this match as I briefly stepped out the room. Good to see Allie retain though.
*Mercedes Martinez comes out at the end to confront Allie. I like where they are going with this set-up.
*Martinez is not that great on the stick, but I'm looking forward to seeing these two face off at the next WSU event.
Other notes:
*Not sure if I like people using their TNA names instead of their indie names on shows. Jade and Allie, I'm looking at you.
*I kind of wonder how many people are actually buying these kinds of IPPVs. It doesn't seem to be a super popular or active thing based on Twitter, but it has to be a decent number for them to keep doing this) (Sometimes I wonder about the business of wrestling)
*A ten minute intermission is a fair amount of length for an intermission. I've experienced ones in a lot of promotions that are way longer. Granted, I wonder if this intermission would be longer if they had actually started on time. Another positive of this interemission is that they are just playing some pretty good rap.
*Referring to the merch areas as THE CZW PRO SHOP makes me giggle.
*It's weird how it's clearer the ring audio before the turn on the full settings.
